EdgeIQ and Ezurio Expand their Collaboration to Simplify and Scale the Management of System on a Modules (SOM) and Single Board Computers (SBC)

Written by EdgeIQ | Dec 03, 2024

Since 2021, Ezurio and EdgeIQ have partnered to deliver best-in-class integrated connectivity hardware and remote management software solutions to equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and systems integrators. Today both companies announce the expansion of that partnership to include Ezurio’s System on Module (SOM) and Single Board Computer (SBC) product lines. Ezurio customers can now leverage EdgeIQ’s Device Operations, Management and Workflow Orchestration software across a wide range of Ezurio embedded and gateway products. The integration and partnership reduces the amount of time and cost of bringing connected solutions to market at scale. Customers will no longer need to build and maintain the dozens of software features and workflows required to support their products in market, including:

  • Fleet management and single system of Record for all devices
  • Zero-touch provisioning and supply chain integration
  • Wellness monitoring, diagnostics, alerting and notification services
  • Firmware management with workflows to automate, validate and audit updates
  • Configuration management to tailor and update important device settings and profiles
  • User and account administration for role and account-based access and permissions management.

Customers will also be able to leverage the data management, bring-your-own cloud integration, service-event and other workflows that are part of the EdgeIQ Symphony platform.

EdgeIQ has created special pricing and license bundles for joint Ezurio customers. The new offering includes free-trial accounts as well as single and multi-year license bundles. Customers can easily and affordably build these necessary remote support and management tools into their BOMs and not worry how to support this over the lifecycle of a product in the field.

Now, support is also included for Ezurio’s Nitrogen portfolio of i.MX-based SOMs and SBCs that support virtually any Linux variant. Support for other operating systems or MCU-based devices is also available upon request.

Ezurio’s SOMs are available in a variety of edge-connector boards, including the latest line of SMARC form factor edge connector boards. Ezurio’s SMARC SOMs are assembled in the USA and designed with futureproofing in mind, featuring a standardized form factor that enables an upgrade path to the latest connectivity standards in the future. They feature long term availability, extensive security updates, personal support, and regulatory approvals to simplify integration and support over a full 10+ year life cycle. And Ezurio’s SBCs provide a hardware-complete board with connectors for display, networking, audio, power, camera interfaces, and everything needed to draw out the features of the SOM. This portfolio includes the following product families:

  • Nitrogen93 SMARC – Based on the NXP i.MX 93 processor, with 2x 1.7 GHz Cortex-A55 cores and 1x 250 MHz Cortex-M33 core, optional Wi-Fi 6/6E and Bluetooth 5.3/5.4.
  • Nitrogen8M Plus SOM/SMARC/SBC: Based on the NXP i.MX 8M Plus processor, with 4x 1.8 GHz Cortex-A53 cores and 1x 800 MHz Cortex-M7 Core, optional Wi-Fi 6/6E and Bluetooth 5.3/5.4 (SMARC) or Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5 (SOM).
