Welcoming Juan Bretaña and Joseph Zaloker to EdgeIQ

EdgeIQ

EdgeIQ Symphony focuses on doing one thing above all else: providing the purpose-built orchestration platform that enables elegant workflows across the entire IoT value chain securely and at scale. Symphony is a unifying orchestration service across device and connectivity operations, telemetry management, system observability and an organization’s entire application ecosystem. As we execute across our core go-to-market motions, we are expanding the teams that deliver this value.

Juan Bretaña, Head of Product Development

Juan brings 20 years of software development and team leadership experience to EdgeIQ. Juan worked for one of the world’s largest management consulting firms, the region’s second largest telecommunications company and one of the world's largest ecommerce platforms. He also has hands-on experience building and supporting a connected product solution in the energy sector.  Juan has a deep appreciation for how to deliver great user experiences at scale.

Like Symphony, all mission and business critical platforms live and die on their ability to deliver the right user value within an architecture that abstracts outcomes from their underlying systems. This extensibility is a key element of value that EdgeIQ delivers for Connected Product Businesses and Enterprises with rich connected operations.

In his words:

“Teams create great products that solve important problems. No matter what tools are available to us - cultural clarity, internal alignment and a team working together is how we win and how our customers win. This is an exciting time to be helping shape an emerging category with so much opportunity for our customers.”

Joseph Zaloker, VP of Hyperscaler and AWS Partnerships

Joseph has spent roughly thirty years in this industry, which means he was building machine-to-machine products before IoT was a term anyone used. He helped shape the distribution channels a generation of OEMs depended on, spent meaningful time inside AWS, and has watched the connected device and operations markets cycle through enough naming conventions and hype cycles to know which shifts are real and which are familiar problems with new branding.

What that brings to EdgeIQ is a clear read on where partnerships actually move the needle. Hyperscaler relationships are easy to describe in a press release and considerably harder to operationalize in a way that compounds over time. Joseph has done both sides of that.

In his words:

"EdgeIQ is one of the few companies in this space that isn't selling another acronym. They're solving the part of the problem everyone else has been quietly leaving on the floor."

He'll be leading our AWS partnership and broader hyperscaler strategy — work that sits directly at the intersection of where our customers run their infrastructure and where the industry's center of gravity keeps moving.

We're excited to have them both on our team.
